My
work is centered around the experience of being
in the city. There is no particular aspect of
the city that I concentrate on. The people and
the urban landscape are equally of interest
to me.
Seeing
and being aware of one's surroundings is the
underlying focus of my photographs. I find cities,
particularly Seattle, to be of unending interest,
with more human warmth, humor and life than
is typically associated with them.
My
work is about being in touch with my environment.
I
use a Fuji panorama camera which has the capability
of producing images that can be very large and
sharp.
Cibachrome
is the printing process I use for my work. This
particular method of printing can produce very
vivid colors. Both the camera and the printing
process allow me to more fully capture the feeling
and essence of how I experience the city.
