Night. Desert silence broken only by the terrible sounds of wild, giant snakes crashing through the brush in search of living prey. Huge rattlesnakes is what they are; twenty to thirty feet long. Loathsome creatures from the very Gates of Hell. Foul reptiles with a taste for human flesh.
Andy Griffith hopelessly lost. Stumbling, falling. Insane thirst. He lurches to a halt. "Opie!", he croaks. "Is that you? Where are you, boy?"
The villainous beasts stop their maddened hunting at the sound of his pathetic cries. Prey! One calls out, "Dad! Dad! Over here, Dad!" The others muffle manic laughter. "Soon, soon," they hiss.
Andy stumbles crazily towards the doom lying in wait for him less than a hundred feet away. Andy calls to the scaly killers, "Is Aunt Bea with you, son?"
"I’m right here with Opie, Andy!" And I’ve got a nice, hot apple pie waiting for you!", a demon rattler perfectly mimics. By this point the vile creatures are writhing together in anticipation...
