I did work like this from 1982 to 1992. I composed them using unaltered or slightly altered found-objects either on their own or in assemblages. I was attempting to emphasize their abstract qualities rather than the more surrealistic possibilities of this type of sculpture. I was (and am) interested in what it means to be an artist and this media was a good way to explore some of the possibilities. |
